Sunday Snowshoeing- Sam Young is organizing an informal snowshoeing excursion every Sunday for all ages and ability levels.  Location to be announced, depending on conditions.  Contact Sam to get on the weekly announcement list at yogalaughter@mac.com. This is a non-competitive group that allows you to move at your own pace for roughly one hour of exercise (2:30-3:30).  The terrain will vary as each week a new location is picked.  If you do not have snowshoes, contact Sam and he will try to arrange a "loaner" pair for you.
More regular, detailed updates and grooming reports are shared by members on an almost daily basis on our trail updates email forum.  We are now receiving local snowpack and avalanche observations on the forum, as well.  If you would like to receive these updates, contact  sewardnordicski@gmail.com to join the forum.
Seward Winter Film Series, January: "The Bering Strait Odyssey", AVTEC Auditorium Tues. Jan. 20, 7-9pm.  Join world adventurer Troy Henkels as he shares the journey he and fellow traveler Dixie Dansercoer made in their 2005 attempt to go from Alaska to Russia and back across the Bering Strait.
